LeisureSuit Media Founders Jordan Hoffman and Kerry Douglas Dye met in an introductory video class at NYU film school in the early nineties. Mr. Hoffman was working on "The Three Wise Guys", about several poker buddies whose game is interrupted by the coming of the Messiah, and Mr. Dye was working on "Love With a Capital 'C'", in which Candy the Erotic Masseuse comes down to Hell to help Satan with his sore shoulder.
That friendship became a business relationship in 1998 when the two men got to talking about the still-immature World Wide Web and realized that neither felt like there was a place on the 'Net where guys like them could feel comfortable. On November 30th, 1998, LeisureSuit.net Webzine, "The Most Comfortable Spot on the 'Net" was born.
Dedicated to being a humorous weekly take on arts, culture, politics, city life, and "guy stuff", LeisureSuit.net started slow, but eventually--as "The Magazine for Guys Like You"--grew to attract over 50,000 readers a month--a small but loyal readership of the young and culturally savvy.
